Barcelona
8 Hours
Departure from Barcelona or Girona at the indicated time, from your hotel.
We will begin our route in the town of Pals, a small medieval town located 90 minutes from Barcelona. Upon arrival in Pals, we will begin the visit at the Mirador del Pedró, one of the highest points of the town. From here you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view that covers the rice fields, the Empordà plain and, on clear days, even the Pyrenees. This is the perfect place to take some photos and capture the beauty of the surroundings.
From the viewpoint, we will descend along the cobbled streets towards the old town, known as the Barri Vell. We will walk through its narrow streets flanked by stone houses decorated with colorful flowers. We will visit the Torre de les Hores, a 12th-century Romanesque tower that was part of the old defensive wall. Its name comes from the bell tower added in the 15th century. The tower is one of the emblems of Pals and offers a fascinating view of medieval architecture.
Later, just 10 minutes by car, we will head towards Peratallada.
Once there, we will enjoy a walk through its cobbled streets and stone facades that characterize this town. The Plaza de les Voltes is the heart of Peratallada, known for its well-preserved medieval town. We will head towards one of the most beautiful towns in Spain, Cadaqués.
We can eat in one of the restaurants facing the bay, and enjoy typical Mediterranean cuisine. Cadaqués is a charming coastal town on the Costa Brava, famous for its impressive landscapes and its connection with the artist Salvador Dalí.
At the end, we will begin our tour exploring the Church of Santa María, located in the upper part of the old town, offering impressive views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea. From there, in a 1-hour tour of the cobbled streets we will discover some stories and legends of pirates and Indians that will transport us to other times. Time to walk freely for about 30 minutes and get lost in the Mediterranean clothing and craft shops in the centre.
Finally, around 6:00 pm, the return to Barcelona begins, ending a day full of explorations and beautiful discoveries in three of the most charming medieval cities in Catalonia.
Finally, we will close this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
