Barcelona
8 Hours
Departure from Barcelona at the indicated time, from your hotel.
Arrival at the Dalí Museum in Figueres, where the surrealist world awaits you. This museum, designed by Dalí himself, is a work of art in itself, with its extravagant façade and unique installations that capture the essence of the famous artist.
At the museum, we will spend some time admiring some of Dalí’s most famous works, including paintings, sculptures and various installations that challenge the mind. For those of you who are not museum lovers, we can assure you that the Dalí Museum exceeds all expectations, not only for its paintings, but for its way of understanding the world of art.
We will continue the route to the town of Rosas, just 30 minutes from Figueres. In Rosas we will discover a small part of the history of this eastern end of the Iberian Peninsula, the Trinitat Castle, an impregnable 16th century military fortress, shaped like a five-pointed star and with 5-metre thick ashlar walls.
Without much time to enjoy the views, a boat trip awaits us from the port of Rosas, to the very centre of the most beautiful town in Spain, Cadaqués. We will skirt the Costa Brava, and its cliffs with small coves in which to lose ourselves. Our guide will be waiting for us upon arrival to continue accompanying us. Cadaqués is a charming coastal town on the Costa Brava, famous for its impressive landscapes and its connection with the artist Salvador Dalí.
Time for lunch. Optionally we can opt for a premium restaurant specialising in fish.
After a snack, we will explore the town centre with the Church of Santa María, located at the top of the old town, offering stunning views of Cadaqués and the Mediterranean Sea. On a 1-hour tour of the cobbled streets we will discover some stories and legends of pirates and Indians that will transport us to other times. Cadaqués is known for its white houses with blue doors and windows, which create a magical atmosphere.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere on your own for 1 hour while exploring the small craft shops and art galleries that dot the town centre. This walk will allow you to capture the essence of Cadaqués and its Mediterranean charm.
Finally, we will close this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
