Barcelona
8 Hours
We will start our trip from your hotel in Barcelona at the agreed time.
Our first stop will be the city of Girona, known as the “city of the four rivers”. We will begin our tour at the Stone Bridge (Pont de Pedra), an iconic place to enjoy the panoramic views of the Onyar River and the famous colorful houses that line its banks. From there, we continue to the Barri Vell, the old town of Girona, which is a labyrinth of narrow, cobbled streets full of history. Here, we will visit the Girona Cathedral, known for its impressive baroque façade and for having the widest Gothic nave in the world. In addition to being a prominent setting for the series “Game of Thrones”.
We will end our visit to the city of Girona by walking along its ancient walls. A tour that will offer you spectacular views of the city and the surrounding area. The walls are accessible from several points in the old town and provide a unique perspective of how the city defended itself in times past.
We will take the transversal road of Catalonia, to reach a typical regional farmhouse, to have a well-deserved lunch. Optionally, we can choose a Brunch in a winery in the Bages region.
The next stop on our tour will be Montserrat. Our first visit will be the impressive Monastery of Montserrat, a place with more than a thousand years of history. Upon arrival, we will take a tour of the basilica and the other buildings that make up this monastery, which is an open-air museum. The Basilica stands out for its majestic 12-meter-high organ and more than 4,200 pipes, a visual and acoustic wonder. Then, we will visit the Montserrat Museum, where you can see masterpieces by renowned artists such as El Greco, Miró, Dalí, Tápies and Picasso. This art collection will allow you to appreciate the cultural and artistic wealth of the monastery.
Afterwards, we will walk some of the most impressive trails in the Montserrat National Park. These trails offer fabulous views of both the park and the monastery, allowing you to connect with nature and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
Finally, we will close this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
