Description of the Besalu, Dali and Girona tour from Barcelona:
This tour begins in Besalú, a picturesque medieval town famous for its 11th-century Puente Viejo (Old Bridge) and well-preserved Jewish quarter. After exploring its Romanesque and Gothic streets and churches, we’ll visit the Dalí Museum in Figueres, an immersion in surrealism with iconic works and sculptures by the artist.
After lunch at a Mediterranean or tapas restaurant, we head to Girona, where we’ll see the Puente de Piedra (Stone Bridge), the Barri Vell old town, and Girona Cathedral. We finish the tour by walking along the ancient walls, with panoramic views, before returning to Barcelona.

We left Barcelona to visit the town of Besalú.
Besalú is considered one of the most beautiful in Spain by National Geographic magazine, and of course one of the most photogenic, especially the old bridge of Besalú.
We walked along the Old Bridge of Besalú; it is believed that it was built in the 11th century on a Roman bridge, but it was rebuilt in the 14th century. After the destruction it suffered in the civil war, it was rebuilt again. It consists of two angled sections and in the center is the tower with a small arch. We visited the city center, flooded with streets and facades as part of its medieval heritage. During the tour we visited the ecclesiastical monuments that are in the town, such as the churches of Sant Pere, Santa María and Sant Vicenç, which alternate Romanesque elements with other Gothic ones. For its part, the old Jewish quarter is one of the best preserved in the peninsula.
After this medieval walk, we will stop at the DALI Museum in Figueres, where the surreal world awaits you. This museum, designed by Dali himself, is a work of art in itself, with its extravagant façade and unique installations that capture the essence of the famous artist.
At the museum, we will spend time admiring some of Dali’s most famous works, including paintings, sculptures and several installations that challenge the mind. For those who are not museum lovers, we can assure you that the Dali Museum exceeds all expectations, not only for its paintings, but for its way of understanding the world of art.
It is time to take some time for lunch. Depending on the gastronomic expectations of each client, we offer various culinary options, such as a restaurant with an authentic Mediterranean flavour in a town 15 minutes from Figueres, or a typical Spanish tapas restaurant.
In the afternoon, more relaxed, we will go to a Bodega in l’Emporda. famous for its wines with Denomination of Origin. The region with more than 50 wineries will allow us to immerse ourselves in the wine landscape that combines tradition and modernity.
Upon arrival at the winery, we will participate in a guided tour, where you can learn about the winemaking process from the vineyard to the bottle. They will explain how the climate and the terrain affect the character of the wines that are produced. Finally, we will do a tasting of the different varieties produced in the winery.
Finally, we will close this day of adventure by returning to Barcelona.
