Tour: Kosher the Jewish Wine

We will leave Barcelona for the region of Priorat, we will arrive to the outskirts of Falset, in a small town with barely 500 inhabitants, surrounded by mountains full of history.
We will arrive at the winery Celler de Capcanes. A Jewish winery hidden in the Priorat area. There we will learn that a wine is considered kosher, must meet certain requirements from harvest to bottling. It is interesting to note that a kosher wine can come from any vineyard in the world and that any varietal is allowed, with the strict rule that must be harvested and processed by observant Jews. The entire wine-making process, from the press to bottling, must be supervised by a Jewish authority. Kosher wines bear a kosher certification seal from a recognized rabbinic authority. This seal indicates that the wine has been made according to the kashrut laws.
After knowing its process we will enter to taste its most characteristic wines, we will taste its rosé wine, and its wine the Peraj Ha’abib, which is the wine that marked its history.

After this interesting visit we will take the route to Falset, the capital of the Priorat region. This region is known for its production of high quality wines.
There we will know the Wine Catadral through an outside visit. It is a winery or better said in an architectural jewel riding on modernism and novocentism.
Exposed brick, stone, batter and ceramics combine to achieve a characteristic aesthetic and striking shapes. Large arcades of classic inspiration, lots of light in the interiors and all the technological details of the time applied to the winemaking.

We will follow the route to the town of Porrera, located inside the Mountainous area of Priorat
Alí will have time to eat, with casual or gourmet options, according to preferences of each client (not included)
There we will make a second visit and tasting in a Local Winery.
Porrera has a wine history that dates back to Roman times. The vineyards in this area have been cultivated for centuries, and the wine tradition has passed from generation to generation.
Porrera is one of the towns that are part of the Priorat Designation of Origin, one of the most prestigious wine areas in Spain. It stands out for the cultivation of grape varieties such as Grenache (Grenache) and Carignan (Carignan), which are fundamental in the production of red wines of the Priorat.
We will return to Barcelona, observing the beautiful landscapes, which seem taken from a book of fairy tales.
