Priorat Wine Tour in 4×4 and Sitges

We will leave Barcelona on board our vehicle, driving through the beautiful landscapes of the route. First of all we will pass through the capital of Priorat, in Falset, and we will visit the Catadral del Vino (Wine Cellar) by means of an exterior visit. It is a wine cellar, or rather an architectural jewel that combines modernism and noucentisme.
Exposed brick, stone, plaster and ceramics are combined to achieve a characteristic aesthetic and striking shapes. Large arcades of classical inspiration, lots of light in the interiors and all the technological details of the time applied to winemaking.
With the arrival of phylloxera in the 19th century, Catalan farmers became poorer and cooperativism was born as an opportunity to unite among themselves.
The personal and financial contributions of the farmers of the village and the impetus of the Mancomunitat Catalana made the construction of the current Celler Cooperatiu possible. This winery was designed by Cèsar Martinell i Brunet, a Catalan architect and disciple of Gaudí.

We will then arrive at GRATALLOPS, the heart of Priorat. Arriving in the area we will go to one of the most beautiful and incredible wineries of the region. We will take a 4×4 vehicle, you could explore scenic routes leading through the vineyards, hills and mountains of the winery. The guide will point out points of interest and provide information about the local geology and flora.
They will show us the different varieties, and how they take care of the vineyards, with their biodynamic cultivation philosophy that allows them to have vibrant and healthy vineyards.
At the end of the tour, we will return to the winery to taste our prized wines and extra virgin olive oil.

The wine tasting will be combined with :
•Cheese pairing: taste a variety of artisan cheeses specially selected for each wine. Additional 20€ per person.
•Chocolate pairing: try different artisan chocolates designed to match our wines and create a delicious experience. Additional price 20€ per person.

Time for lunch (not included)

In the afternoon, we will head back to Barcelona. However, to end our fantastic day, we will take the coastal motorway for a lovely stroll through the town of Sitges. It’s a spectacular end to a magnificent day.
Sitges is a charismatic town with its own identity, only 30 km from Barcelona. Sitges has a charming and picturesque atmosphere with narrow cobbled streets, traditional white houses and typical Mediterranean coastal architecture. The old town centre is particularly attractive and offers an authentic experience.
We can stroll along the promenade, and relax on one of the terraces. The city has attracted artists and intellectuals for decades, and this is reflected in its many museums and art galleries.
