Montsant Wine tour in 4×4 and Sitges

We will leave Barcelona aboard our vehicle, touring the beautiful landscapes of the tour. Arriving in the Montsant region we will start our tour in Siruana, which offers a unique and fascinating experience, immersing you in the rich history and stunning beauty of this charming medieval village located on top of a cliff in the region of Priorat.
We will make a tour in which you will immerse yourself in its cobbled streets, adorned by old stone houses that tell stories of past centuries, we will visit the Church Square is the central point of Siurana, where you will find the Romanesque church of Santa Maria, an impressive building dating from the 12th century. Enjoy the historic architecture and panoramic views from this elevated point.

Back in Cornudella, we will visit the Cathedral of Wine, a wine cooperative of Montsant. In Catalonia, with the arrival of the phylloxera in the nineteenth century, the Catalan peasants impoverished and cooperativism was born as an opportunity to unite among them. The personal and economic contributions of the peasants of the town and the encouragement of the Catalan Commonwealth made possible the construction of the current Celler Cooperatiu. This winery was designed by Cèsar Martinell and Brunet, a Catalan architect disciple of Gaudí
Then we will visit the Bodegas de Cornudella, with wines of great prestige, to one of the most beautiful and incredible wineries in the region. We will take a 4×4 vehicle, to explore scenic routes that lead through the vineyards, hills and mountains of the winery. The guide will identify points of interest and provide information on local geology and flora.
They will take us to their estate of old vineyards, those of more than 50 years, which generate the most authentic and flavorful wines of the region. At the end of the tour, we will return to the winery to taste our precious wines and extra virgin olive oil.

The tasting will be 7 wines from the winery, accompanied by an aperitif. You will not be able to resist the temptation to buy some bottle for your personal cellar.

Time for a Lunch at a local restaurant (not included)

In the afternoon, we will head to Barcelona. However, to end our fantastic day, we will take the coastal highway, for a lovely walk through the town of Sitges. It’s a spectacular end to a magnificent day.
Sitges is a charismatic town, with its own identity just 30 km from Barcelona. Sitges has a charming and picturesque atmosphere with narrow cobbled streets, traditional white houses and typical architecture of the Mediterranean coast. The old town is particularly attractive and offers an authentic experience.
We can walk along its promenade, and relax on one of its terraces. The city has attracted artists and intellectuals for decades, and this is reflected in its many museums and art galleries.
