Description of the Girona Costa Brava Private Tour:
We take you on a journey through time to visit the medieval city of Girona, this tour will allow you to know part of its history, culture and gastronomy; we will also visit some of the most interesting places on the Costa Brava. We will visit one of the scenarios that has been the location for filming the series Game of Thrones, in the medieval center, in addition to visiting the Jewish Quarter. In our private tour you will be able to observe different landscapes of the Costa Brava; definitely one of the favorite private tours for many, since in it you can count with one of our private guides, who will describe in detail each of the sites we will visit.
Our private tour starts from the city of Barcelona, it is from here where the pick up is made, at the meeting point previously established in the reservation. Enjoy the comfort of your trip to our first destination in the city of Girona. We will know each and every one of the Roman and medieval remains that are still preserved today and we will be able to know; a destination of rich culture and contrast.
Once in Girona, our guide will take us on a tour of its narrow streets, to visit the Jewish quarter of the province, this is considered the best preserved in Europe, following our way, we will find the Cathedral of Girona, has the particularity of having the widest Gothic nave in the world.
Thanks to its atmosphere and medieval landscapes, Girona was chosen as the setting for shots of the series “Game of Thrones”. Other things to see are its incredible medieval Walls, numerous bridges that cross the river and a panoramic view that is worthy of being immortalized, we recommend our clients to have their cameras ready.
After visiting the most relevant places in Girona, it is time to head to our next destination, Costa Brava.
With our arrival to the Costa Brava, we will start immediately by one of the most outstanding places as it is the town of Pals, an impressive and beautiful medieval village that preserves very well some of the elements of its past, such as its cobbled streets and perfect squares, some of its towers, and the viewpoints that offer an unbeatable view of the Mediterranean Sea, it is even possible to see the plains of Emporda stretching to the horizon.
Our next destination on the route is the fishing village of Calella de Palafrugell, this town like Pals retains much of its past history, here we will have enough time to learn about the history and taste some of the most representative dishes of the town.
In our tour of Calella de Palafrugell, we can visit some of the most popular beaches and coves known by many in the town. If you wish you can take the time for a dip in the crystal clear waters.
Once our visit to the Costa Brava is over, our driver guide will take us back to our pick up point in Barcelona.
